Complaint regarding unfair business practices “TEMU”

Zürcher Rechtsanwälte AG supported Handelsverband.swiss (“Handelsverband”) in filing a complaint with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO regarding unfair business practices by the online shop “TEMU.” Handelsverband represents approximately 70% of the B2C online retail volume in Switzerland and found that the online shop Temu was engaging in unfair business practices. These practices include, in particular, violations of the Ordinance on the Indication of Prices (PBV) and violations of the Federal Act on Product Liability and the Federal Act against Unfair Competition, as well as the Ordinance on the Return, Take-Back and Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
